Card Grouping Settings

Card grouping settings are editable features of your groupings in spaces. You have access to card grouping settings when you work with:

Customize its appearance to suit your needs. It will help you organize your work by marking its stages and other details. Learn how to adjust it just for your convenience.

Remember that there are 5 types of card grouping and not all types have the same options available in the settings.

Name
Description
Color
Follow
Archive cards
Delete
Role
Move cards

Name

Find a name that reflects the character of cards assigned to that grouping. 

To change the grouping name:

  1. Open the space.
  2. Hover over the grouping name bar, click, and type a new name. 
  3. Click on the Save button to confirm the changes. 

You cannot change the names of User and Due date groupings.

Description

You can add a description to your card status or custom fields when a name is not enough. Read more about the grouping description.

Color

Well-chosen colors can make work easier and more pleasant. Select the corresponding one.

  1. Open the space.
  2. Click on the three-dot menu button on the name bar.

Here you can change the color of the grouping. Choose from 16 different options.

  1. Select the desired color.

Remember that it works only at grouping cards by statuses and custom fields options.

If you want to change the color of a label grouping field, you need to edit the label

Due date and User groupings are always grey.

Archive cards

You can archive all cards that are assigned to the grouping.

Follow a custom field or card status

You can follow a grouping to receive notifications from all the activities that took place on a card that is currently on this grouping.

Delete

There is a simple way to delete groupings. 

Remember that it won’t delete cards that are assigned to that grouping.

Roles are the key feature of statuses.

Move cards

There is a simple way to move all cards from your grouping to another grouping. You can find it in the grouping settings.

  1. Open the space.
  2. Click on the three-dot menu button at the grouping name bar.
  3. Select  Move cards.
  1. You will see the pop-up window with existing groupings. Choose one of them for your cards.

After that click, all the cards will gain a new grouping.

Yes, you can use display settings to adjust the visibility of space view information to your needs.

Use custom fields to categorize your tasks and add labels in different colors to customize your workspace. Set the card grouping to the desired option. For large spaces with many cards, use card filtering.
