Grouping cards
Last modified:
Card grouping in Board is a feature allowing you to see a Board in many perspectives.
There are several possible grouping options.
When a grouping option is selected, moving cards between columns will result in setting a user, label, status (depending on which filter you choose).
Now when you switch to any of 5 available Board views, you will always know to which list a card belongs to. Information regarding the list of a card will be displayed under the list's title.
Group your cards
Choose the desired view in a menu located above a Timeline in a Board.
Please keep in mind that views will not be remembered. Although when you enter a card and you come back to the same board, the view should be remembered together with position and filters.
1. Group by lists
Board view filtered by lists is a default view. You will see all the cards arranged by lists to which they belong.
2. Group by user lists
In this view, you will see all the cards in a Board arranged by users who are assigned to them as responsible.
The first list in a Board will be Unassigned which is a list for cards without any user assigned.
When you move a card from Unassigned to person's row, a card will be assigned to that person.
If you move card from user1 to row of user2, user1 will be added as a co-worker to a card.
3. Group by status lists
Once you enable Card statuses in a Board, you can filter all Cards in it by their statuses. Select Status lists in View menu in the right corner of a Board. Read more about Card statuses and filtering the Board's view by them in this article.
When you turn on Status you will see the current status of the cards when you are on the Lists view. When you switch to Status list view then you will see the names of the lists on the cards where you saw status before.
4. Group by labels
You can group your cards also by using labels. If a card contains 2 or more labels, it will be visible in at least 2 lists.
5. Group by Due date
