KanBo Boards Analytics show you a variety of results regarding activity in Boards. To understand them, you should be familiar with the concepts of List roles and Card statuses roles.

1. Cards progress overview presenting the apportionment of Cards by roles attached to them (taken from Card statuses or List roles) among Cards.

This diagram will show you counts of cards where a certain role is set. This diagram does not count cards with role None.
Late cards are cards where due date has passed and they are not in Completed role or where start date passes and card is in role Not started.
Not started are cards which have a role Not started minus Late cards.
In progress are cards whihch have a role In progress minus Late cards.
Completed cards - cards which role is Completed.

2. Insights about: how many days are left to complete Cards, how many Cards are left, what is the progress of completing Cards and what’s the Activity index in a Board.

  • Days left

This field takes a card with the latest due date that is not in role none and subtracts it from the current date.

  • Cards left

Sum of all cards from the Cards progress overview diagram minus done cards (cards where the role is completed).

Image 6596

  • Progress

Indicates how many cards were created (in grey) versus completed (in green) in the last 30 days. It does not mean that the cards created get done within 30 days so the numbers are not connected. It shall give you an indication of how much new work arrives versus how much work gets completed.

  • Activity Index

The activity index is calculated by statistics of average activities per day as average for the last 30 days, which just counts notifications, calculates the difference between now and first notification and gives you the average per-day count.

So, in other words, if you're using this - your board's activity will stay "good" if you just make thousands of activities at the beginning and stop doing anything.

There are thresholds (activities counts) for measuring Activity Index.

Examples:

- with 0 board activities, Activity Index is marked as shutdown,

- with at least 3 board activities Activity Index is very poor,

- with at least 21 board activities, Activity Index is fair, with 31 it is good, with 50 it is excellent.
